1. Welcome to my page!
Everyone wants to be happy. People find happiness in the most simplest ways whether it's playing a game of gold, eating a great meal with friends, or even winning a game of poker. Some people find happiness in drugs, alcohol, sex, and money. I look at these and I love my friends, I play poker, and I like making money...these things make me happy but then I realized something. All of these things are temporary, they all have an end. One day your friends might not be there, a game of poker does not always mean a win, and money can be lost in the matter of seconds. These things are temporary happiness, they make us happy for a couple hours or a day or two. I wanted to find the ultimate happiness...I wanted to find happiness that will never end. I wanted to go out in the world and smile for no reason because I know that life is good. I have found this ultimate happiness, I have found the secret to life...his name is JESUS CHRIST. Jesus Christ is the ultimate happiness and the only way you can find this happiness is when you make HIM a priority by putting Jesus Christ Over Everything (JCOE)!
2. Money is not the root of all evil
"If money cannot buy happiness, I don't mind crying in a corvette."
Being the middle child I was always the spoiled kid, the one who got whatever I wanted, the one who everyone loved, and even the one who got the most gifts on Christmas. Growing up around kids who got whatever they wanted and then having friends who drove Escalades, Range Rovers, Mercedes made me realize a couple of things. There is nothing wrong with having a nice purse, a nice car, nice clothes, there is nothing wrong with having money! BUT when these things start to consume us that is when it becomes a problem.
What do I mean by these materialistic things consuming us? It is when this purse, this car, these clothes, and the money begins to take over our lives. As I said, having these things is not wrong, it's not evil, but when we loose focus we have fallen into the traps of the devil.
What should be our focus? JESUS CHRIST should be the focus of our lives. I have seen what money has done to families around me and even my own friends. It ruins there lives because people begin to focus on WHAT they have instead of WHO they have. Life is not about how much money you have, it's about how many people in life you can trust and rely on and the first person that should come to mind is Jesus because there is no one more trustworthy, honest, loving and caring than HIM!
So remember, everyone says that money is the root of all evil but it isn't! THE LOVE OF MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL! When you put Jesus Christ over everything you live a life of peace and ultimate happiness.
